Europarliamentary Intergroup “Peace for the Saharawi People” official presented today

PUSL.- The new Europarliamentary Intergroup “Peace for the Saharawi People was presented today in the headquarters of the EU in Brussels. The intergroup has over 100 MEP’s from almost all political groups, from the left to the right.

The presidency of the new Intergroup is occupied by MEP Joachim Schuster, of the German Social Democratic Party.

In representation of the Polisario Front where Mohamed Sidatio former representative in the European Union and Oubbi Bucharaya Bachir who was appointed this year for the task.

MEP Joaquim Schuster, highlighted the purpose and objectives of forming the group and the role it will play at the level of the European Parliament as well as the necessity to intensify the work in order to contribute to the path of the international agreement to promote a fair solution that guarantees the Saharawi people the right to self-determination as stipulated in the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly and the Security Council.

Oubbi Bucharaya Bachir new representative of the Polisario Front in Europe and the European Union, , presented the latest development at regional and international level, in light of the recent summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa and the results of the last Polisario Front Congress organized in Tifariti, liberated territories of Western Sahara.

Mohamed Sidati, member of the National Secretariat, and recently appointed as representative of the Polisario Front in France, expressed his gratitude members of the group and the distinguished and important role played by MEPs in recent years to raise the issue of Western during parliamentary sessions.
