Webinar “”The Israelization of the conflict of Western Sahara” with Dr. Yahia Zoubir

PUSL.- Next Saturday, 25th of April, the Swedish NGO Solidarity Rising will host in its webinar series, Dr Yahia Zoubir who will be speaking on:

France’s relationship with Morocco, the United States’ relationship with Israel and the role that outside powers play in the occupation of Western Sahara and Palestine. Dr. Yahia Zoubir will discuss outside power dynamics and the similarities between the Moroccan colonization of Western Sahara and the Israeli colonization of Palestine.

Dr. Yahia H. Zoubir is a Senior Professor of International Studies and Director of Research in Geopolitics at KEDGE Business School, France and currently a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Doha Center. Prior to joining KEDGE in 2005, he taught at multiple universities in the United States, and was a visiting faculty member at various universities in China, Europe, the United States, India, Indonesia, South Korea, and the Middle East and North Africa. His numerous publications include many books, such as Algerian Politics: Domestic Issues & International Relations (Routledge 2020), North African Politics: Change and Continuity (2016); Building a New Silk Road: China & the Middle East in the 21st Century (2014); Global Security Watch-The Maghreb: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia (2013); North Africa: Politics, Region, and the Limits of Transformation (Routledge, 2008), amongst others.

The session (in English) will consist of a lecture by Dr. Yahia on the topic followed by questions and discussion.
