Chahid El Hafed, July 22, 2020 (SPS) -. The Saharawi Communities of the South (Sector martyr Sidi Azman Sidahmed) condemned this tuesday in a statement, regarding the First anniversary of the young Saharawi woman Sabah Azman Ahmeida, the brutal reprisal against the Saharawi civilian population and all forms of violations of their rights humans in the occupied part of Western Sahara, which occur with the extraordinary and complete silence of the United Nations and their peace mission, MINURSO.

The Saharawi Community reiterated its solidarity and support for Saharawi political activists and prisoners in Moroccan prisons and the Saharawi population in the occupied cities.

The young Saharawi Sabah Azman who lost her life at dawn on Saturday, July 20, 2019, was deliberately overrun by a police vehicle during the spontaneous celebrations in various Saharawi occupied cities after the triumph of Algeria in the African Cup de Naciones 2019. Sabah exited her house peacefully as did hundreds of Saharawi citizens to express their desire of freedom and independence and their rejection of the Moroccan occupation.

The POLISARIO Front in various messages sent to the UN Security Council and to the UN Secretary General has deplored the brutal and criminal acts committed by the Moroccan occupation forces and has required an independent investigation to be carried out in order to discover the circumstances of the murder of young Sabah Azman as well as the hundreds of Saharawi wounded caused by the brutal attacks and the repression in the Occupied Zones of Western Sahara.
