The german ngo Freiheit fuer Westsahara e. V. will organize a virtual symposium on the current developments of the Western Sahara conflict on April 23, 2021, 4:00-7:30pm CET.

The event will be in English and it will be live streamed over Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FreieWestsahara). No prior registration is required.

With a number of dramatic events over recent weeks and months, the conflict is escalating: the resumption of the war, an exacerbation of human rights violations, US recognition of Morocco’s annexation in violation of International Law and Morocco’s suspension of contact with the German Embassy in Rabat are unprecedented developments, leaving us with many unanswered questions.

At the symposium international experts on Western Sahara will discuss the current situation, explore the scope of action of relevant actors and offer an outlook on possible future developments.

Please find below the schedule of the event as well as the list of speakers.
