New complaint before the against Morocco

In response, the Action of the Christians for the Abolition of Torture (ACAT) and the International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) once again urge the United Nations to appeal to Morocco.

Naâma Asfari, a Saharawi human rights defender, has been detained since November 2010 and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment on the basis of confessions signed under torture for his participation in the Gdeim Izik protest camp.

His wife, Claude Mangin-Asfari, is still deprived of visiting her husband. In April 2018, in protest, Claude decided to go on hunger strike for a month. 2 months later and despite repeated attempts by the French government to get Morocco to let her enter the kingdom to visit Naâma Asfari, Claude is still denied the right to visit her husband.
