President of the Saharawi Republic begins an official visit to Cuba
Havana, December 3, 2018 (SPS) – The President of the Saharawi Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, arrived Sunday evening at the Republic of Cuba on a three-day official visit, during which he will meet with high authorities of the Cuban State.
The President was received by several Cuban government officials, headed by Mr. Rogelio Sierra Díaz, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, in the presence of Mr. Clara Bolido, Ambassador of Cuba accredited to the Saharawi Republic.
In the program of activities of the Saharawi President, includes, in addition to official talks with the Cuban authorities, the tribute to José Martí, the Cuban National Hero.
The president is accompanied by a delegation composed of Mansur Omar, Delegate Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Latin America, Malainin Tganam Saharawi Ambassador in Cuba and Abdati Breika, Councilor of the Presidency.
Cuba and the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic established diplomatic relations in January 1980, and currently, their main areas of collaboration are health and education, for which thousands of young Sahrawis are trained in Cuba as professionals from the most diverse areas.
