Africa Solidarity for Sahrawi meeting with South African Human Rights Commission

PUSL.- Africa Solidarity for Sahrawi (AFRISOSA) met with the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for a briefing on the latest developments on the Western Sahara conflict.

Mr. Atabongwoung Gallous, president of AFRISOSA, transmitted to the CEO of SAHRC, Tseliso Thipanyane and the several Commissioners the current situation on Western Sahara as well the recent development in the UN Security Council meeting, which extended the MINURSO (UN mission for Western Sahara) for six months.

Ms. Isabel Lourenço, Portuguese human rights activist, presented her recent report on Saharawi Children and Students in the occupied territories of Western Sahara as well as a detailed information on the Saharawi Political Prisoners currently detained in Moroccan Prisons. Read more
