lIn a Note Verbal addressed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho to its Saharawi counterpart on Tuesday, Lesotho rejected Moroccan allegations filled with false interpretations propagated by Morocco in various media regarding the position of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the issue of Western Sahara and its relations with the Sahrawi Republic.
The Moroccan media published last week articles in which they stated that “The kingdom of Lesotho is joining the growing cohort of formerly pro-Polisario countries poised to revise their stance on the Western Sahara territorial dispute, buttressing the reigning suggestion of a pro-Rabat momentum in the latest developments.”
Yesterday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho sent a Note verbale to the Foreign Minister of the Saharawi Arabe Democratic Republic reiterating its support to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and underscoring its commitment to the bilateral relations and cooperation that as stated in the text “have so happily subsisted between the two sister countries for decades”.
MADRID (Sputnik) – The still Spanish Foreign Minister, Josep Borrell, was approved by most European Parliament groups to become the next High Representative of the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy.
Borrell passed this October 7 the well-known ‘examination’ of the MEPs of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, who asked him for three hours on various issues in the international arena.
“Our colleague Josep Borrell was appointed High Representative of the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. We want to indicate our satisfaction and pride that a socialist partner has such a high level career,” the Spanish socialists said in their social networks.
The Spanish politician will take office from November 1, after receiving great support from the chamber, with only the votes against from the ultra right, the Identity and Democracy group, where the French National Regrouping of Marine Le Pen or Matteo Salvini League are.
