Alternative Nobel Prize and Rafto prize beaten in El Aaiun by Moroccan authorities
PUSL.- On Saturday 11 January 2020, Aminetu Haidar Saharawi human rights activist recently awarded with the Alternative Nobel Prize and Saharawi activist Mohamed Dadach – RAFTO human rights prize were beaten in El Aaiun, occupied territories of Western Sahara, by law enforcement officials of the Moroccan occupation regime.
The activists were beaten as they intended to enter the house of Ghalia Djimi and Dafa Ahmed, Saharawi human rights activists, where a meeting was to be held at 2 pm to review the recent Congress of the Polisario Front held last month in the liberated territories of Western Sahara.
By the time of the assault, more than a dozen activists were already inside the house.
As soon as Aminetou Haidar and Mohamed Dadach and other activists arrived, several agents of the Moroccan occupation authorities in both uniform and civilian clothing blocked the door of the house and forbade entry.
One of the undercover agents began to push, beat and insult Aminetou Haidar and also attacked Mohamed Dadach and Brahim Sabar.
The assault injured both activists, Mohamed Dadach at the leg and Aminetou Haidar at the cervical.

Activist Aminetu Haidar’s twitter reads: “Here is the Moroccan torturer who assaulted me this afternoon in occupied El Aaiun, he is following the orders of the members of the Moroccan expansionist regime, enjoying total impunity. ¡MINURSO over 29 years without a mandate to monitor human rights! ”
The right to free movement, expression and association was once again violently violated.
The MINURSO (United Nations Western Sahara Mission) that promptly called for a protest against the holding of the Rally Africa Eco Race did not appear at this time or many others when the occupying authorities mistreat, torture and kidnap Saharawi civilians.
