PUSL.- The book “Suspiros de Ida e Vuelta” (SIGHS – leaving and returning), written by Isabel Lourenço and Esperanza Jaén, was presented at the Casa de Cultura de Lebrija (Seville).
It is a book in which its authors tell real stories of Western Sahara. The harshness of the occupation, the exile and the diaspora are reflected in 28 stories full of feelings that convey to the reader the dignity of the Saharawi people, their courage and their dreams of freedom.
The event was attended by a large audience, the Mayor of Lebrija, Pepe Barroso, the Councilors for Education, Social Welfare and Health, the delegate of the Polisario Front in Portugal, Mohamed Fadel, Mr. Maaleinin in representation of the Delegation of Andalusia and Jaime Ruiz de Castro from the publishing house readbook.
The voices of former political prisoner Brahim Sabbar and the president of the Western Sahara Foundation José Manuel de la Fuente brought “HE” to life, a story about a Saharawi political prisoner, after Carmen Romero of Radio Lebrija read the story of “Mailia “a young Saharawi in exile.
Pililli Narbonne placed the musical note playing “Minas no” and “Saharaui Libertario”. The event ended with a Saharawi tea and the signing of the book that can now be purchased at bookstores or on the website of the Readbook publisher:
