PUSL.- In a statement published today, the Saharawi Community in France and the Nordic Countries welcomes the 47th anniversary of the Armed Struggle and reaffirms its full support to the Polisario Front, the only legitimate representative of the Saharawi people.
Communiqué from the Sahrawi community in France and in the Nordic countries on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the armed struggle
The Sahrawi people commemorate the 47th anniversary of May 20, 1973, under the aegis of
Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro, This event was the culmination of the solid Sahrawi resistance, whose heroic chapters have shown the inflexible determination of Sahrawis to reject foreign occupation, their campaigns against our homeland since the early 15th century and geographic discoveries.
The creation of the Polisario front and the outbreak of the armed struggle against Spanish colonialism marked a major turning point in the modern history of our people. It contributed to the rebirth of the spirit of the Revolution, the promotion of the values of patriotism and sacrifice for the liberation of our country.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro succeeded, in a short time, to mobilize the great mass of Sahrawis inside and outside the country and organize them. Consciousness and collective policy has been consolidated, which has helped to achieve the national unity of the people. In uniting the Polisario Front, the Sahrawis have joined the ranks of the Popular Army of Saharawi Liberation, vanguard of the battle for national liberation.
This new historic stadium had a very positive impact on the life of the Sahrawi, the formation of a society preserving its values, raising awareness of the Nation and building a State whose
social achievements have steadily progressed in 47 years of sacrifice, struggle and
perseverance.
The celebration of this event leads us to remember and salute the sacrifices of our glorious martyrs and liberation war heroes and to honor the fighters of the People’s Army of liberation of the Saharawi people, who are always ready to defend the noble objectives of freedom and independence of our people, and achieve sovereignty over the whole of Western Sahara.
On this occasion, we also send a greeting of esteem to all the Saharawi political prisoners
in Moroccan prisons, as well as to the Sahrawi populations in the occupied territories and in the South of Morocco, for their efforts in the Resistance against the illegal Moroccan occupation.
The Sahrawi community in France and in the countries of the North expresses its attachment to the Polisario Front, the sole and legitimate representative of our people.
It affirms its strong adherence to international law which establishes legitimacy and its inalienable right to self-determination.
It affirms its determination to defend national achievements and to confront Moroccan maneuvers,
aiming for unity and cohesion.
Constance and Sacrifice and struggle to impose the Sovereignty of the Sahrawi State.
