PUSL.- Mohamed Bourial, a Saharawi political prisoner from the Gdeim Group, held a 48-hour protest fast this weekend.
Currently detained in the prison of Ait Melloul sentenced to life imprisonment, Bourial who has serious health problems, remains untreated and is not adequately medicated and is a victim of intentional medical negligence.
In prolonged solitary confinement for several years, Bourial has no right to leave the cell for more than a few minutes a day and even this time outside has been arbitrarily denied.
Detention conditions do not comply with basic rules of hygiene and the rights of prisoners. According to information from the family, Bourial does not have blankets or a adequate mattress in a cold, dark cell without adequate ventilation filled with mold.
