Dr. Sidi Mohamed Omar, Polisario Front representative to the United Nations, held a meeting on Tuesday (19/04/2022) in New York with Staffan de Mistura, the United Nations Secretary General’s personal envoy to Western Sahara.
According to the published tweet the Polisario Front representative to the UN reiterated its position ahead of the Security Council meeting on Western Sahara to be held today 20 April.
“Ahead of the Security Council consultations on the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) tomorrow, I met with the Under-Secretary-General for Western Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, at the UN headquarters in New York. We discussed the UN peace process and I reiterated the Polisario Front’s position on the process and related issues.”
