Energy, warfare, drones the financing of death
PUSL.- With the latest news regarding the announcement made by Yossi Abu, CEO of the Israeli energy company NewMed Energy, where he stated the companies’ readiness to invest in natural gas operations in what he called the “Moroccan desert” it is clear that the curtain has fallen and that all Israeli Moroccan “affairs” regarding occupation and plunder are now public.
The “energy crisis”, which has nothing to do with lack of resources but all to do with geopolitical rearrangement, has spiked the appetite of Israel and Morocco even further in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and as Abu stressed, the “Moroccan Sahara” i.e. occupied Western Sahara “is in a large reservoir of natural gas”. NewMed Energy intends to invest in the field of energy explicitly in renewable energies, natural gas, and green Hydrogen.
The crude prospections in Western Sahara waters have been stopped by several western companies. International law is clear, natural resources of Western Sahara cannot be exploited without the permission of the Saharawi People. A little detail for which the Zionists have no second thoughts, since they do not abide International Law nor respect people’s rights.
After the signing of the 2020 normalization agreement known as the Abraham Accords, Morocco and Israel have been publicly very active in the military field, although behind the public eye the relations exist for decades.
In November 2021 Morocco signed a $22 million deal for “kamikaze drones, in Februrary 2022 a $500 million agreement for Israeli Barak-8 missiles, followed in September, by a purchase of advanced Israeli electronic warfare weapons from Elbit Systems, including an electronic intelligence (ELINT) system, capable of collecting radar signals and performing signal intelligence (SIGINT) actions.
The latest military agreement between the two states was signed last Septemebr 27th at that time Morocco acquired 150 armed drones from Israel, including WanderB and ThunderB VTOL drones, which retain reconnaissance, surveillance, and air defense capabilities.
Since Israel has a vast experience in looting, plundering, assassinating and occupying Palestine and Palestinians it is the perfect partner for Morocco in all things regarding the illegal occupation of Western Sahara. In fact, Israel has been behind the scenes since day one, supporting Morocco in its criminal colonial endeavor.
It is therefore only logical that they work together to further plunder the Saharawi resources and, in that way, finance the two occupations and war. Morocco is in desperate need of money not only to hold on to the occupation of Western Sahara but also to find a way to get out of its bankruptcy that is strongly felt by the Moroccan citizens who are suffering under a severe economic crisis although the Western Media does not talk about it.
Despite cooperation between the two states, the Moroccan citizens do not see Israel a nice partner, due to the Palestinian issue. In fact, a widespread disapproval against the warming of relations between the two states, was evident on July 2022, when dozens of human rights demonstrators marched in front of the parliament building in Rabat, in protest against the visit of Israeli Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi.
