Wilaya de Dakhla, 16 January 2023 (SPS) – The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the POLISARIO Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, met on Monday with the delegation of the African National Congress (ANC), the ruling party in South Africa, led by Mr. Obed Bapela, Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, a member of the ANC leadership.
The meeting between the President of the Republic and the South African delegation focused on ways to boost relations and strengthen the ties between the Saharawi Republic and the Republic of South Africa, in addition to reiterating the commitment of the ANC to “continue its support for the Saharawi cause until the final victory, wishing the POLISARIO Front success in its 16th Congress”.
The South African and Saharawi peoples are united by strong ties of friendship and cooperation, dating from the time of the South African people’s struggle against the Apartheid regime, based on a common history and values of struggle for the liberation and development of their peoples and the African continent in general.
