Shahid Al-Hafed, January 24, 2023 (SPS) – The National Secretariat of the Polisario Front held yesterday, its first session after being elected during the sixteenth Congress, under the supervision of the President of the Republic and the Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali.
During the first session, President Brahim Ghali congratulated the elected members of the National Secretariat, recalling them of the big responsibilities they should take, which require strengthening the confidence of their people and the willingness to give for the national cause. He also reaffirmed that the current situation requires harmony, cooperation and hard work.
President Brahim Ghali added that the Sahrawi people revoked the enemy’s plans and conspiracies aimed at thwarting the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front.
The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front condemned the gross practices that the delegation of Sahrawi human rights activists were subjected to upon its return to the occupied territories, noting that “The international human rights organizations cannot remain silent about such actions.”
Brahim Ghali indicated that these practices are not new to the Moroccan occupation regime, praising the Sahrawi masses, especially the masses of the independence uprising in the occupied territories, in southern Morocco and in university sites.
The first session of the National Secretariat, added the President of the Republic, is devoted to preparing for the dissemination of the outcomes of the Sixteenth Congress of the Polisario Front, as well as preparing the internal control of the National Secretariat.
