The Association of Solidarity with the Saharawi People and their Struggle for Self-Determination ASAAURUI and the Circle of Solidarity with the Saharawi Republic organised activities during the 23rd University Week at the University of Brasilia. The activity included the presentation of a documentary film, directed by Professor Berenice Bento, and a debate with Ambassador Ahmed Mulay, the representative in Brazil.
Every year, the University of Brasilia organises Extension Week, an academic event open to society during which research is presented, debates are organised, and films, music and poetry are shown. A week of science, culture and art for society.
In Extension Week 2023, the Circle of Solidarity with the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, an organisation that brings together students and teachers committed to the democratic causes of oppressed peoples, held an event together with the Brazilian Association of Solidarity with the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, with the Saharawi Woman as an expression of the struggle of the people of Western Sahara.
The aim is to spread the Saharawi cause to everyone who passes through the UnB premises from 25 September. In a stripped-down and light-hearted way, but not at all superficial, we tell the saga of a people and the saga of brave women.
