Demonstration of saharawi unemployed youth in El Aaiun

PUSL.- On Friday night, 21 of February, dozens of unemployed Saharawi youth demonstrated demanding work and condemning the death of Mohamed Ali Massik.

Moroccan occupation authorities, both, police and military surrounded the demonstration insulting and threatening the protesters.

This peaceful demonstration is yet another in the long struggle of resistance of young Saharawis in the occupied territories, victims of social, economic and social apartheid resulting from more than 4 decades of savage occupation.

Demonstration in Solidarity with the Saharawi People on October 12 in Paris

PUSL.- The Coordination of the Associations of the Saharawi Community in France and the French Platform of Solidarity with the People of the Western Sahara will organize a demonstration on 12th October at the Place de la République in Paris between 3pm and 7pm.

This action a few days before the UN Security Council meeting to discuss the UN Mission in Western Sahara intends to alert public opinion and the United Nations to the unsustainable situation to which the Saharawi people are exposed in the occupied territories.

France has been an ally of Morocco and has consecutively prevented the inclusion in the United Nations Mission’s mandate of protecting the Saharawi population in the territories of Western Sahara occupied by Morocco.

Demonstrations in El Aaiun celebrating the first armed action of POLISARIO

PUSL.- Saharawi men, women and children took to the streets on 20 May in El Aaiun, celebrating the anniversary of the first armed action of the Polisario Front.

Despite the police and military siege and Moroccan auxiliary forces, to avoid demonstrations throughout the occupied Western Sahara, the Saharawi people took to the streets demonstrating.

The 20th of May, is celebrated yearly in spite of all the repression and tight control of the occupying forces that suppress any demonstration.

In the neighborhood of El Arak in El Aaiun, a group of Sahrawis managed to escape the police siege and demonstrated at 11 pm as you can see in the video.

Demonstrations in the occupied territories are increasingly difficult. The Moroccan authorities are preventing the grouping of Saharawis at all costs so that demonstrations do not take place.

Whole neighborhoods are under continuous police siege and secret police are present in every city. Read more
