Algeria leaves international meeting due to a Moroccan map that included Western Sahara

PUSL.- Algerian authorities who participated in a videoconference meeting this Sunday, of general directors of customs in the North Africa and Middle East region, withdrew after a map was shown with the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as part of the Moroccan territory, said the Algerian General Directorate of Customs (DGD) in a press release.

“These abuses consist of promoting illegal maps with the intention of the Moroccan delegation to exploit the regional communication office (…) and to use this platform, which is one of the regional structures of the World Customs Organization, in order to spread these illegal allegations, ” said the director general of the DGD, Noureddine Khaldi.
